The Whittet-Higgins BAS-10 assembly socket is an installation tool that fully encapsulates the outside diameter of a bearing locknut, engaging all four spanner slots at all times to prevent slipping, injuries, and installation damage to the locknut, bearing, and assembly.
Hardened tool steel pins set in a carbon steel base socket deliver accurate adjusting and preloading of bearings and other power transmission components, while an integral square drive connects to standard ratchets, torque wrenches, and pneumatic drivers.
It is sized for use with Whittet-Higgins N/AN, NL, NS, PN, PL, BH, BHL, BHM, BHS, and BHT series bearing locknuts and is rated for operation up to 300 degrees F. Manufactured in the USA and RoHS compliant.
